You Can't Make This Stuff Up ...

"On many a workday lunchtime, the nominal boss of U.S. intelligence, John D. Negroponte, can be found at a private club in downtown Washington, getting a massage, taking a swim, and having lunch, followed by a good cigar and a perusal of the daily papers in the club’s library.

'He spends three hours there [every] Monday through Friday,' gripes a senior counterterrorism official.

Others say they’ve seen the Director of National Intelligence at the University Club, a 100-year-old mansion-like redoubt of dark oak panels and high ceilings a few blocks from the White House, only several times a week."

Well, let's put this in perspective.
Almost no one has raised an uproar over Bush frolicking on his ranch when he obtained an Al Quaeda security alert "determined to strike America" a month before the Sept. 11 attacks (with the White House having since censored large portions of the smoking gun memo from public view).
And almost no one has raised an uproar over Bush and other top administration officials, as well as the heads of FEMA, engaged in frivolous activities around the country at the same time people had been drowning in the days following Hurricane Katrina.
I suppose, then, the boss of U.S. intelligence wasting away at a club a good chunk of each week while we are in an alleged heightened security risk makes perfect sense and shouldn't alarm anyone.

Well, Look at How Hard it was to Craft his NAFTA project! That really took a lot out of him, and look at how hard it was to command Death Squads - that's a lot of hard work -

and by the way it's really a lot of hard work organizing Coups against Chavez and plotting away with his team of Economic Hit Men to undermine the newly elected governments in Bolivia Chili, Equador and the up coming election in Mexico.

This evil bastard doing a lot of "hard work"..

George Bush is famous for his Alfred E. Neuman what me worry look. Negroponte seems to be living the what me worry lifestyle at taxpayer's expense.

These guys have no clue what's going on in the United States. What's worrisome is that Bush and his circle have no clue what's going on in the world either.
