Poll Shows Support for Democrat-Led Congress

Are Americans growing tired of being ruled by Republicans?

An AP-Ipsos poll, released yesterday, found respondents favoring a Democrat-controlled Congress by a 49% to 36% over a Republican-controlled Congress.

President Bush's job approval remains low — 40%, according to the poll of 1,001 adults. The margin of sampling error was plus or minus 3 percentage points.

Voters will have a chance to follow through on the poll results this November, when mid-term elections hold the fate of the entire Congress and one-third of the Senate.

Of course Real Clear Politics, which some may consider a credible website, if slanted right, is quick to post something from a "bull dog pundit" on

presenting statistics to suggest the AP-Ipsos poll is plainly slanted towards Democratics, as well as non-churchgoers, non-married people, non-voters, and people who make under $15,000 a year or people who tend to support Democrats. I wonder how AP-Ipsos would respond to this challenge to the survey's credibility.
We will need other forthcoming polls to solidify the AP-Ipsos results to silence the right-wing attackers in the minds of middle America.

I'm supposed RPC doesn't point out 49 is less than half. As opposed to 13 more than 36. With all the cheating the other side is willing to resort to, we need more of a buffer.
