On Tonight's Hardball: Spin, Spin, Love Me, Spin, Spin

Consider Chris Matthews' teaser for tonight's edition of MSNBC's Hardball:

MATTHEWS: (O)n HARDBALL, Bill Moyers responds to accusations that Public Broadcasting is too liberal, plus the man who plays me on “Saturday Night Live,” the great, the great Darrell Hammond. And, Monday, on the eighth day of the eighth anniversary, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice on HARDBALL.

***

If you're scoring at home -- the teaser includes:

1) A GOP spin line (I'll bet that tonight's Moyers interview will feature a host of questions posed from a conservative point of view).
2) A guest purely to stroke Matthews' "great, great" ego.
3) A plug to stroke Matthews' ego.
4) A Bush Administration guest to fawn over (if his recent history as an interviewer is any indicator).

Oh, but Moyers is clearly a centrist.

Why is it that you decry propoganda when you allege that President Bush's administration is involved, but seem to have no problem with Moyers' government financed socialist/communist screeds ?

The point is not about Moyers' politics, it's the leading way that Matthews says this. Guilty until proven innocent.

Maybe in your conservative eyes, you think that's the way the "media" should act.

But a "balanced" way to say it would have been:

a) Bill Moyers discusses the recent controversy over programming on PBS.

b) Bill Moyers responds to conservative critics who claim that Public Broadcasting is too liberal.

c) Bill Moyers discusses why he left his popular PBS show, and the politics that could dictate the future of the network.

Matthews doesn't think that way -- he's too busy trying to grab Bill O'Reilly's audience. That's why JABBS keeps hammering away at him.

So it is not fair to point out that Moyer's is an uber-liberal? It is wrong to point out that he is a "journalist" that has become rich at the public teet, spewing "propoganda" ?

No, you cretin, it is not fair to call Moyers "an uber-liberal," because no one on this planet other than the brain-damaged denizens of Free Republic has any idea what the fuck you're talking about, anymore than you do when you make delusional claims that Moyers writes "government financed socialist/communist screeds." You ought to read up on socialism and communism some time (I'd suggest starting with "Marx for Dummies" and later you can move on to the real thing, assuming by that time you've learned how to spell "teat") and when you learn enough about each to find out that you don't know anything about either, get back to us. In the meantime, keep imagining that Bill Moyers is producing "propoganda". (Is that what "propaganda" is called on your planet?)

He is not an "uber liberal"? Pray tell, where would you place him on the political spectrum, oh wise one?

Did Mr. Moyers, or did he not, consistently produce leftist materials, speeches, etc ... for his programming, that was, in part, funded by your tax dollars, through our government. Does his past rhetoric qualify as "the spreading of ideas, information, or rumor for the purpose of helping or injuring an institution, a cause, or a person", which is the dictionary definition of propaganda ?

I think that cretin is french, which I am not. Additionally, though I may be wrong from time to time, I do not believe that I am ever vulgar or insensitive, so I would request that when choosing to engage in ad hominem attacks, you at least select the right word.
